Nitish Kumar Reddy Faces Lawsuit from Former Talent Agency Over Unpaid Dues

Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy is facing legal heat from his former talent management agency, Square The One, headquartered in Bengaluru. The agency has filed a lawsuit over alleged unpaid dues, and the matter is scheduled for hearing in the Delhi High Court on July 28, 2025. The case, registered under Section 11(6) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, is formally listed as M/s Square The One Pvt. Ltd. Through Its Director Sh. Shiv Dhawan Vs. Nitish Kumar Reddy.

As per the agency’s claims, Reddy breached the terms of their management agreement by failing to settle outstanding payments. The two were professionally associated for three years before parting ways last year. Reddy, who previously featured heavily in the agency’s branding and social media promotions, has reportedly not been seen in any of their campaigns since December 2024.

Talent agencies are an essential part of today’s cricketing ecosystem — securing brand deals, managing media presence, and handling players’ off-field portfolios. Reddy’s current representatives have been contacted for comment. This article will be updated if a response is received.

Knee Injury Rules Reddy Out of India-England Test Series

In a separate development, Nitish Kumar Reddy has been ruled out of the remainder of the India-England Test series due to a left knee injury sustained during training ahead of the fourth Test at Old Trafford.

Reddy made a strong impression on the national side after being scouted by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2023 IPL. He was part of India’s Test squad throughout the 2024–25 Border-Gavaskar Trophy, contributing 298 runs and 5 wickets across five matches. He also played in the second and third Tests of the ongoing Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy, where he picked up three wickets and scored 45 runs.

With his injury forcing an early exit, the team has named Shardul Thakur as his replacement for the remaining matches. Reddy is expected to return home for recovery, and the team has extended wishes for his speedy return to the field.
