That's a wrap! San Francisco Unicorns continue their winning momentum, remaining the only undefeated team in the campaign. Can't wait for the next match between MI New York and Washington Freedom on June 22nd at 12:00 am GMT. Tune in an hour early for pre-match analysis and updates. Cheers!
Matthew Short, the Player of the Match and stand-in captain for the Unicorns, humbly remarked that the award should have gone to Faf du Plessis or Finn Allen, who had exceptional batting performances. He praised the wicket, saying it was fantastic, and expressed his pleasure at getting the season off to a winning start with four consecutive victories. Short also commended his teammates, describing them as quality, world-class bowlers who did a great job. He took a moment to acknowledge Corey Anderson, wishing him well after learning that Anderson had suffered a grade 3 injury and would be out for the tournament, praising Anderson's leadership in the first three games.
Faf du Plessis, the captain of the Texas Super Kings, stated that he had struggled in the nets the previous day, finding it hard to make contact with the ball. However, once he got going, he found the wicket to be conducive to batting. Du Plessis acknowledged that his team was short of 20-25 runs on the board and admitted that a couple of no-balls were a lapse on their part. He also noted that batting first presented a challenge due to the wind direction, which made hitting harder on one side, and felt that with a solid foundation, his team could have pushed for an additional 20 runs.
Time for the presentation ...
Earlier in the game, Texas Super Kings posted a strong total of 198 on board, with skipper Faf du Plessis scoring a century. The other batters played around him. For SFU, Haris Rauf and Xavier Bartlett took two wickets each.
Texas bowlers struggled, leaking runs all around the park, with Adam Milne and Daryl Mitchell taking one wicket each, as SFU won by 7 wickets.
In response to the total set by Texas, SFU's openers Finn Allen and Matthew Short were sensational, scoring 117 for the first wicket in under 9 overs. Their partnership almost sealed the deal for SFU, with the duo scoring 83 runs in the Powerplay itself. Finn Allen top-scored for SFU with 78, while Matt scored a half-century. J Fraser-McGurk also contributed, ensuring the team maintained the momentum set by the openers.
The San Francisco Unicorns' batting unit delivers another clinical performance, effortlessly chasing down the target and securing a convincing 7-wicket win.

Strategic Break! Texas Super Kings has lost the grasp of the match. They were really good with their batting, but San Francisco Unicorns were just better in the same department. Their fielders started off with a good and positive energy, but it faded away after the bowlers leaked boundaries in the powerplay.
