SANJAY YADAV IS THE PLAYER OF THE MATCH.
Earlier, Dindigul Dragons posted 150 runs, fueled by a couple of crucial partnerships. Vimal Khumar's half-century and Shivam's 37 were standout performances. Trichy Grand Cholas' bowlers impressed with their discipline, restricting runs and claiming key wickets. Athisayaraj Davidson and Saravana Kumar took a couple, while K Easwaran and Selva Kumaran chipped in with one each as well.
Dindigul Dragons' bowlers dominated the initial 13 overs, but they lost control in the last 7 overs, allowing Trichy to seize the game. The fielding efforts also didn't support the bowlers. Despite Ganeshan Periyaswamy and Shashidharan R each taking 2 wickets, and Varun and Ashwin taking 1 wicket each, DD couldn't hold on to the win.
Sanjay Yadav's fortunes turned dramatically in the 14th over when Varun Chakaravarthy conceded 23 runs. This turning point reignited Sanjay's innings, and he went on to score a match-winning 55 runs off 45 balls, propelling Trichy to victory.
Trichy Grand Cholas faced a tough start in their chase, slipping to 24/4 within the first 5 overs. However, a crucial 98-run partnership between Jagatheesan Kousik and Sanjay Yadav steadied the ship, ensuring Trichy seized the opportunity to win and advance to the next stage.
Trichy Grand Cholas have clinched the final playoff spot in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2025, defeating Dindigul Dragons by 4 wickets. This thrilling win secures Trichy's place in the playoffs, marking a triumphant moment for the team.

Yorker on middle and off, Sanjay Yadav flicks this to DT Chandrasekar at mid-wicket and runs. Sanjay gave up and just ran, hoping that the fielder would miss and DT missed. Scores are level.

Slower one, around off, Jafar Jamal swings and misses.
OUT! STUNNER FROM VIMAL AT LONG OFF! Good length on off, R Rajkumar rocks smashes this looking to clear the fence at long off and the ball was going good guns for most of the distance but Vimal Khumar had other ideas. Vimal Khumar times his jump to perfection, takes the catch with the body momentum, taking him beyond the ropes but proactive thinking from Vimal Khumar to flick this inside the playing field and complete the catch once he is back inside the playing area does a world of good to his side.

A run-out opportunity goes begging as Ganeshan Periyaswamy doesn't collect this clean. On a length around middle and off, R Rajkumar slogs this off the inside of his bat towards deep mid-wicket and turns back for two. The throw was good towards the non-striker's end and had Sanjay Yadav struggling as well but Ganeshan Periyaswamy fails to gather this.
