Bangladesh chopped and changed as they looked for a breakthrough but it arrived in the dying minutes of the day. Before that, they had to chase the game and were not just made to chase the game but the red cherry as well, as Sri Lanka scored more than 100 runs in both sessions. Nayeem Hasan got the big wicket of Dinesh Chandimal but the way Pathum Nissanka is batting, Bangladesh will need something special to get rid of him as the opener is determined to score a double-ton after missing in the first game. Right then! A lot to worry about for Bangladesh but a rest is utmost important for them as a big Day 3 awaits them. They need to set the tone from the start of the session. Can they? Play on the 'moving day' starts at 4.23 am GMT and you can join us a bit early for the build-up. Till then, cheers!
It has gotten very dark and the umpires have asked the players to leave. That will be STUMPS! Sri Lanka through and through as we get to the end of Day 2. What a day for the hosts. What a match so far for them. Sri Lanka had control right from the beginning of the day. Bangladesh managed just 27 runs with the two wickets they had and Sri Lankan bowlers did the job quickly. The Lankan batters were watchful at the start of the innings but once they negotiated the first hour, runs started to come. Lahiru Udara played a decent innings of 40 but it was the partnership between Pathum Nissanka and Dinesh Chandimal that cut down the deficit with ease. The 194-run stand saw both the batters score their half-centuries respectively. Nissanka went onto register his second century of this series however, his partner Dinesh Chandimal fell on 93 while trying to play the reverse sweep.

Flighted very full and on leg, Prabath Jayasuriya makes room and digs it out to cover. Taijul Islam seems to be interested. He feels it hit the boot first. Bangladesh have taken the review. Oh, yes! That hit the boot first but Prabath Jayasuriya was standing on the leg side. Easily missing the leg pole.

Tossed up on middle, holds its line. Prabath Jayasuriya watchfully defends.

Shorter and outside off, Nissanka cuts it to deep point and denies the run.
The light meter is out as it has gotten really dark out there. Nahid Rana was supposed to bowl but the umpires have asked to continue with spinners. Here is Taijul Islam.
