Right then, that is it from this game and with Manchester Originals picking up their second win, the middle part of the points table is getting more and more congested. The Originals have ended up doing the double over the Superchargers, with the Women's team also getting a narrow win. Up next, London Spirit will be going up against Birmingham Phoenix and in the Women's game between the two sides, the Spirit won by 88 runs. Can the Men follow that lead? Or will Phoenix come roaring back? Only time will tell, and that game will begin at 10.30 pm IST (5 pm GMT), but you can switch tabs and tune in to our build-up. Cheers!
Jos Buttler is the PLAYER OF THE MATCH for his top knock. Jos says that it is a crucial win and they had to win today to get some momentum and get back in the tournament. Adds that it was a used wicket and a batter could easily get frustrated and they simply looked to build partnerships. Mentions that the likes of Rachin and Heinrich are class players and they came good for the team. On the bowling attack, Jos says that they have variety in the attack and it is an exciting attack and when they are able to get in a performance like that, it feels good.
The Presentation ceremony...
Earlier in the game, Phil Salt won the toss and opted to bat first on a track that looked a bit sluggish. Manchester Originals found it difficult to get going early on as both openers fell inside 29 balls. However, Jos Buttler showed great composure and Rachin Ravindra played a stellar cameo, which changed the momentum completely and even after Rachin fell, Buttler was able to put on another big stand with Heinrich Klaasen, as both players hit individual fifties and carried their side to a big total. Mitchell Santner was the pick of the bowlers for the Superchargers and Potts got a couple of wicket but was fairly expensive, just like the rest of the bowlers.
Northern Superchargers are a team that have the ability to score big runs, which we have already seen this season, but on this track, they were always going to be up against it. Zak Crawley got out of the blocks quickly but soon fell and Michael Pepper departed for duck. Harry Brook tried to up the ante but tried too many shots and got out soon too. Dawid Malan found it difficult to grab the strike and couldn't get going, after which David Miller led a mini fightback. Once he fell on 38, there was no one in the lower middle order who could put some pressure back onto the bowlers and it ended in a heavy defeat for the Superchargers.
Manchester Originals had a solid total on a pitch that was abrasive and not the best for batting and it showed when the Originals came out to bowl. The likes of Sonny Baker and Josh Tongue looked threatening up top and it was Tongue, who got a quick doubel-scalp to put his side in front. All throughout the innings, they managed to keep picking up wickets and didn't let a big partnership flourish. Noor Ahmad and Rachin Ravindra bowled solidly, whereas Lewis Gregory and the likes of Currie, Tongue and even Baker used the slower deliveries effectively. Tongue finished with three wickets, so did Baker, who even got a hat-trick to seal things.
What an all-round performance from Manchester Originals in front of their home crowd and they have finally managed to pick up their second win of the campaign and are now very much in the mix along with other teams, who are also on two wins each. As for Northern Superchargers, it is just their second loss of the season as they stay very much in the upper part of the points table but they will look to take a few notes from this loss.

Sonny Baker 21/3(3.2)
OUT! BOWLED'EM! Sonny Baker finishes things off in style and he is elated! Actually, it is a hat-trick for Baker, who picked up a wicket on the final delivery of the last ball of his previous set and he's gone bang-bang on the first two balls of this set. A quick yorker from Baker, aimed in towards off and middle, Jacob Duffy looks to make room and dig it out but the ball is just too quick for him and smashes into the stumps. Manchester Originals win by 57 runs!

Jacob Duffy is the last man in for Northern Superchargers.
OUT! CAUGHT! Sonny Baker comes from over the wicket and goes a bit fuller, bowling it slow and angling it into the batter. Thomas Lawes backs away and heaves it high and towards deep mid-wicket. Lewis Gregory runs around to his left in the deep and takes a good catch.

Full and straight, pushed down the ground for a single. Tongue finishes with 3 wickets for just 21 runs in his 20 balls.

Rashid got nowhere near that one! Dug in short and outside off, too quick for Rashid, who swings across the line but is beaten by a mile.

Looks to go full and straight and it turns out to be a low ful toss, Lawes hits it down to extra cover for a single.

Slower one, on a hard length and wide outside off, Rashid goes after it and almost falls over as he lifts it over backward point without much timing and falls safely. Just a single.

Full and angled in at the stumps, Rashid hangs back, makes rom and smashes it away wide of sweeper cover for a couple of runs.
