Lyca Kovai Kings really have a lot of work to do. The batters have been struggling throughout the season and once again we saw them tumbling down under pressure against quality bowlers of Chepauk Super Gillies. Lyca Kovai Kings lost three wickets inside the Powerplay and didn't recover after that. They kept on losing wickets and once Shahrukh Khan departed, a score of above 150 was hard to achieve. Chepauk Super Gillies will deem this as the perfect game for them. Their bowling was equally brilliant as was their batting performance. Chepauk Super Gillies thoroughly deserve to be on top of the table.
Chepauk Super Gillies were chasing a below-par total but they played their natural aggressive game with K Aashiq leading from the front. He gave them a perfect start before perishing away. Chepauk Super Gillies did slow down but it didn't matter as they needed run-a-ball almost throughout the innings but Baba Aparajith walked out and played a quick-fire 48 off 26 balls, along with Vijay Shankar's 34 off just 19 balls to chase it down in a cosy fashion.
A massive win for Chepauk Super Gillies as they win with close to 5 overs to spare. That's three wins in a row for Baba Aparajith's team while a lot to ponder upon for Shahrukh Khan's team as they witness their third loss on the trot.
