Right then, that is it from this game and we've seen contrasting fortunes for the two teams as TSK continue their winning start and LAKR are unable to fill the void left by the absence of a few of their star players. Next up, it is the final game of the weekend and a big one too, as San Francisco Unicorns take on MI New York at this very ground and that is coming up in just a few minutes' time. You can simply switch tabs and keep enjoying our coverage of the MLC. Cheers!
The skipper of Texas Super Kings, Faf du Plessis, is down for a chat. He says that it was a nice game as they bowled pretty well. Adds that their bowling was really good and it's an improvement from the previous game. Mentions that the bowling was pretty good as they made it hard for the opposition. Adds that on a tricky surface, you can't expect to hit sixes right away but Devon Conway and the other batters did well to bat on this surface.
Noor Ahmad is the Most Valuable Player of the match for his brilliant four-wicket haul. Noor says that he just tried to keep it simple and sticks to the basics. Adds that here the length is very important and you have to hit the right areas. Mentions that the environment is really good on and off the field and he is enjoying it.
The Presentation ceremony...
The skipper of Los Angeles Knight Riders, Sunil Narine, is down for a chat. He says that, they did well to keep them to 180 as the wicket was better. Adds that they could've done better, as it was a chaseable total. Mentions that they need to assess the condition and try to be smart and positive. (On the returning West Indies players), he informs that they will be there in the next game. Concludes that hopefully they can keep bowling the way they're bowling and do a little better with the bat.
Earlier in the game, the Knight Riders opted to chase after having failed to do so less than 24 hours earlier. They did get Faf out early but failed to stop consistent partnerships from blooming. The likes of Conway, Mukkamalla, Mitchell and Ferreira, all got into the 30s for the Super Kings and they managed to get to a solid total. The bowling from LAKR was good in the middle overs, with spin dominating proceedings and Tanveer Sangha on a roll. However, death bowling let them down quite a bit.
Los Angeles Knight Riders needed some sort of a partnership and Unmukt Chand tried holding up one end but kept losing partners as the likes of Noor Ahmad, Wiig and even Mitchell picked up wickets in a heap. Matthew Tromp seemed to be the only one who was able to get going but with so many wickets lost, he couldn't kick on and was bowled by Noor, who ended up with a sensational four-fer, handing his side a huge win. Before the end, there were a couple of cameos from Shadley van Schalkwyk and Ali Khan which eventually didn't amount to much.
A late blitz with the bat propelled the Super Kings beyond the 180-run mark and then Adam Milne gave them a perfect start by picking up the wicket of Andre Fletcher. There was some fightback and Alex Hales looked to get going, but the debutant, Stephen Wiig, sent him back.
Texas Super Kings go back-to-back and it's a comprehensive win against a Knight Riders side that has looked toothless in this game. 57 runs is the margin of victory and that will impact the net run rate for both teams pretty heavily.

OUT! CASTLED! Adam Milne wraps things up in style! He goes full and straight, attacking the stumps. Tanveer Sangha backs too far away and throws his bat at it. He fails to reach it as the ball goes through to uproot the off stump out of the ground, Texas Super Kings win by 57 runs!

FOUR! Nice shot! Fuller and down the leg, steps inside and helps it on its way to the fine leg fence for a boundary.

Pitched up, on middle, shaping in, Ali Khan looks to slog it away but gets an inside edge onto his pads.

SIX! Hello? Where has that come from? Zia-ul-Haq serves this full and around leg. Ali Khan gets inside the line of it and whips it away powerfully over the deep square leg fence for a biggie. He enjoyed that one and brings out a fist pump in the air.

Tanveer Sangha is the last man in for LAKR.
