AB de Villiers wins the Player of the Match award.
South Africa Champions wouldn't have asked for a better performance. They dominated in all three departments. They have enough runs to play with, however, Hardus Viljoen set the tone with a toe-crushing yorker to Shikhar Dhawan. Wayne Parnell on the other hand, ended with figures of (2-2-0-2). Imran Tahir got the big wicket of Yusuf Pathan, thanks to incredible work from AB de Villiers. South Africa Champions kept it nice and simple throughout the innings. Earlier, AB de Villiers ran back the clock as he took on the Indian bowlers and scored a scintillating fifty. South Africa Champions batted well but on the contrary, India were equally poor with the ball.
Total domination from South Africa Champions and they have crushed India Champions in their first game. India lacked a real match environment as they lacked character in the fielding department and were ordinary with the ball as well. While batting, they were 6 down inside the 10 over mark and from there on, there was no chance to recover. Stuart Binny hung till the end but showed no intent at all. Just nothing really for India Champions to take home from this game.
A halt in play! The umpires are having a discussion. One of the floodlights has gone off. Meanwhile, the players are shaking hands. There was no point in waiting, with the game already buried a long time ago. MATCH OVER! South Africa Champions win by 88 runs by the DLS method.
