Plenty of Dindigul Dragons batters got off to a start but none hung in there to play the match-winning innings. It all came down to Varun Chakaravarthy who got a free hit right in the death to change the storyline of this match. SKM Salem Spartans will feel gutted. They did everything right but when it mattered the most, succumbed to pressure. It's hard to blame M Poiyamozhi solely for that no ball as it was a really well-executed plan from the bowling team however, one small error and they have come out on the wrong side.

Honestly, dropping three catches and letting chances go away should put them under the radar but Dindigul Dragons shoved it off as they came out to chase. Ravichandran Ashwin and Shivam Singh went berserk and scored 70 runs inside the Powerplay. Although they lost Ravichandran Ashwin and Baba Indrajith in the process, they stayed in the hunt by hitting boundaries regularly.
Varun Chakaravarthy, the batter! Have you seen that version of the magician before? We don't think so! He recognises himself as a batter today, definitely and why not when you help your team win a thriller like this. Spare a thought for M Poiyamozhi. He was bowling so well but one no ball, one error from him and it has cost him all the good work he and his team have done throughout the game.
