Earlier, Chepauk Super Gillies posted an impressive total of 212, despite losing an early wicket. Skipper Baba Aparajith and Aashiq's 83-run partnership for the 2nd wicket steadied the ship. Middle-order partnerships contributed 33 runs each, but the match-defining performance came from Vijay Shankar and Swapnil Singh, who smashed 56 runs in just 19 balls. Swapnil's knock of 45 off 14 balls was particularly impactful. NRK's bowling was inconsistent, with Valliappan Yudheeswaran picking up 3 wickets and Sonu Yadav taking a couple.
Despite a 69-run partnership between Arun Karthik and Muhammed Adnan Khan, NRK fell short. Abhishek Tanwar stood out with 3 wickets for CSG, while Swapnil Singh and M Silambarasan took 2 wickets each. TD Lokesh Raj took one right at the end as well. Arun's late resurgence, after returning from a brief retirement due to illness, was too little, too late. CSG's professional bowling and sharp fielding ultimately sealed the win.
NRK's batting unit struggled to chase CSG's massive total, stumbling early and never recovering. CSG's bowlers delivered an outstanding performance, restricting NRK's scoring opportunities and forcing them to take risks that ultimately led to their downfall.
CSG outclassed NRK in a one-sided contest, delivering a clinical performance with both bat and ball to win by 41 runs.
