Looking ahead to the Asia Cup, Morkel reflected on how the pitches in Dubai have changed since the Champions Trophy. “The pitches in September are greener and fresher than those in March, which were more tired due to constant play,” Morkel noted. “We’ll take a first look at the surface tonight and decide on the approach, but the final call will be made on match day.”

“Kuldeep is a very professional athlete,” Morkel said. “Despite missing game time in England, he’s still been putting in the work. He knows what to do to get ready for white-ball cricket.”
