“Till now everything is going alright sir, toh kyun bina matlab ka ungli karna hai? (Why unnecessarily meddle?). We will continue to follow the same things that have worked in bilateral series. If things are going right, that means we are moving in the right direction.”

Impressive Record as T20I Captain
Since being appointed India’s permanent T20I captain, Suryakumar has enjoyed an excellent start. Out of 15 matches under his leadership, India has lost only two. His journey began with consecutive series victories against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka, followed by a commanding 3-1 series win in South Africa.
When asked about India being “runaway favourites” to lift the Asia Cup, SKY brushed it aside with a smile:
