ICC Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour Sparks Excitement in Indore

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Trophy Tour stopped in Indore, creating excitement across the city. Known for its cricket passion and rich heritage, the city embraced the trophy with enthusiasm.

During the tour, the trophy visited Rajwada Palace, Gandhi Hall, Central Museum, Sirpur Lake, and Pitra Parvat, combining cricket with Indore’s scenic and historic landmarks.

Inspiring Students Across Schools

A highlight of the tour was visits to several schools. These included The Emerald Heights International School, Niranjana Girls School, Emerald Heights World School, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar, Bhavans Prominent International School, and Sanmati Higher Secondary School.

Students participated in cricket-themed games and quizzes. They also received exclusive ICC merchandise. Moreover, photo opportunities with the trophy brought the World Cup spirit directly into classrooms.

Additionally, India U-19 cricketer Aayushi Shukla joined the tour at Bhavans Prominent International School. She shared her journey and encouraged young girls to follow their dreams in cricket.

Trophy Reaches Holkar Stadium

On the final day, the trophy arrived at Holkar Stadium, one of the official World Cup venues. The stadium hosted a media interaction, offering fans and journalists the chance to see the trophy up close.

Senior officials from the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) — including Sanjeev Rao, Ramnik Saluja, Rohit Pandit, Siddhayani Patni, and Pawan Jain — spoke to the media. Former cricketers Sandhya Agarwal and Chitra Bajpai also shared their insights, highlighting Indore’s cricket culture.

Connecting Fans with the Trophy

Through school activations, landmark visits, and media events, the Trophy Tour allows fans to engage with the World Cup silverware. Following Indore, the tour will continue to select cities in India and Sri Lanka, with Mumbai as the next stop.

The tournament will run from 30 September to 2 November 2025 at five venues:

  • ACA Stadium, Guwahati, India
  • Holkar Stadium, Indore, India

  • R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo, Sri Lanka
