“There’s one thing we’ve been discussing since U-12s, and we still talk about it now. Because we know each other so well, I can almost predict his shots — and he knows mine. Sometimes, just a glance is enough,” Abhishek explained.
Guidance From Suryakumar Yadav
In an emotional moment, Abhishek revealed how captain Suryakumar Yadav’s words from the boundary line reminded him of his father.
“Today I remembered my father while batting because the way you were guiding me to take singles, he used to do the same. Sitting in front of the sightscreen, that’s where I focus most. Since you were there today, I think my innings stretched longer,” Abhishek told his skipper.
