The Gujarat Giants entered the WPL 2026 Mega Auction with a Rs 9 crore purse after retaining just two overseas players for Rs 6 crore. The Ahmedabad-based franchise, owned by Gautam Adani, made some key signings, including legendary New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine for Rs 2 crore. Along with Devine, they also secured her former Royal Challengers Bangalore teammate, Renuka Singh Thakur, for Rs 60 lakh in the first marquee set of players.
The franchise used their Right to Match (RTM) card to bring in uncapped Indian batter Bharti Fulmali for Rs 70 lakh.
