Dream11’s partnership with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has come to an end following the passing of the Online Gaming Bill in India. The exit has left Indian cricket without a national team lead sponsor, prompting the BCCI to begin its search for a new partner.
BCCI Releases Invitation for Bids
On Tuesday, September 2, the BCCI announced the release of the Invitation for Expression of Interest (IEOI) for acquiring National Team Lead Sponsor Rights.
In an official statement shared on X, the board said:
“The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) invites bids from reputed entities for acquiring the National Team Lead Sponsor Rights. Accordingly, the BCCI is issuing an Invitation for Expression of Interest (IEOI), which provides the detailed terms and conditions governing the submission and evaluation of bids. The IEOI will be made available on receipt of payment of a non-refundable fee of INR 500,000 (Rupees Five Lakh only) plus applicable GST.”

What This Means for Indian Cricket
Dream11’s departure marks the end of a major sponsorship era, but it also opens the door for new brands to step in and partner with the Indian cricket team. With strict guidelines and a clear financial framework, the BCCI aims to bring on board a strong and reputable sponsor to support the game in the coming years.
