Pakistan T20I captain Salman Ali Agha voiced his confidence ahead of the three-match T20I series against Bangladesh. Speaking to reporters in Dhaka on the eve of the first game, Salman emphasized that the team is in good spirits and ready to play attacking cricket without any pressure.
“It’s a challenging series, no doubt. Bangladesh are strong at home and abroad, but we’re prepared to respond with aggressive cricket,” he said.
Experience in BPL Offers Strategic Advantage
Salman pointed out that several squad members, including himself, have played in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), which helps them understand the local playing conditions better. The team even simulated Dhaka’s pitch behavior during their training camp in Karachi to adapt more effectively.
“We’ve prepared with a clear focus. Understanding the conditions is key, and our BPL experience gives us an edge,” he added.
Praise for Senior Players Babar and Rizwan
The captain reserved high praise for veterans Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, calling them “world-class” players who continue to play vital roles for Pakistan.
“Babar and Rizwan are world-class. They’ve consistently delivered for Pakistan. T20 cricket keeps evolving, and we have players who match the style we want to play.”
Salman made it clear that the team has a defined strategy and isn’t bogged down by expectations.
“There’s no pressure. Our focus is on good cricket and sharp execution,” he concluded.
Trophy Ceremony Sets the Tone
Before the series opener, captains Salman Ali Agha and Litton Das took part in a trophy unveiling ceremony at a hotel in Dhaka. The formal event added to the buzz ahead of the much-anticipated clash between the two sides.
